Sorry for being late…

…I am still getting used to Hamburg … :-)

That is why I’ll only give a short introduction to my new life:

– yes, I have left Paris behind to go to Hamburg
– and yes, I am going to stay here for 6 months.

So, for this period (at least) I will write in English and/or French and/or German. Otherwise, aaaaalll my French and Spanish and English friends won’t understand a word … So, you can look forward to a free English course 😉 (even if my English isn’t error free…)

First of all: Where do I live?

I live in a boarding house – but no worries, even though I have stopped studying and am living in a guest room. This room is slightly more expensive than the other rooms but, in return, we have a cleaning woman, hehehe…

You can see images of my new home on these pictures:

(in remembrance of Marjoooo and her Land der Quietscheentchen :-))

Where do I work?

First of all, I don’t work – I am doing a work experience at an online publication. The name’s not important (my friends know it anyway…), as it would not be very discreeeete.

All I can say is that I am really enjoying myself and that I hope it will continue like that.

What is the city like?

Hamburg is the second largest city in Germany with about 1.7 million inhabitants. My first experience was people going past me and saying: “Excusez-moi madame…” And of course, I answered: “Je vous en prie, monsieur…” (after two years in France, I finally got educated 🙂 ) And they just looked at me astonished – I was grinning at them from ear to ear.

Second experience:

pissoir.JPGI don’t know if you can see, what the letters say (sorry, I’ve got a problem with my picture manager): but it’s “pissoir”. And when I got a whiff of the smell around it, I realized: Hamburg is not that different from Paris… after all.
