The quote of the day…

…from my former flatmate Lena the other night. At her goodbye party, when we were playing Trivial Pursuit.

And having trouble finding the right answer, Lena got the following question: „How many people die on average in Germany per year?“

After pondering for a short while, Lena eventually answered: „Well, I’d say there are about 15 (out of 80!!) million people who die every year…“

So, obviously, the Germans are an endangered species – at least according to her 🙂

Sorry for being late…

…I am still getting used to Hamburg … :-)

That is why I’ll only give a short introduction to my new life:

– yes, I have left Paris behind to go to Hamburg
– and yes, I am going to stay here for 6 months.

So, for this period (at least) I will write in English and/or French and/or German. Otherwise, aaaaalll my French and Spanish and English friends won’t understand a word … So, you can look forward to a free English course 😉 (even if my English isn’t error free…)

Christmas is upon us – and in anticipation, Parisian city planners have put up Christmas lights in October… „They should have done this in June“, I thought when I saw them.

A flood of kilts…

… has inundated Paris since this morning. Because tomorrow Scotland plays France in the Euro 2008 Qualifiers here.

Obviously this meant the Scots thought they should immigrate all the Scotish people to the main-land. Result: Scotish girls and boys in kilts everywhere.

So, whether French supporters will show up wearing beirets and carrying  baguettes around tomorrow at the game remains the question.
